All Weights on the website are approximate and only for the use of assignment of shipping and handling charges by our system and as such should not be relied on.

Important note about all items.  Once the item is handed over to the courier or delivery service we can no longer take any responsibility for its condition so it is very important that you check thoroughly your delivered item before signing for the delivery.  Once you have signed for the goods in good condition then the couriers insurance is no longer valid and any damage caused in transit or by mishandling will not be compensated and we will be unable to offer you a refund or exchange.

 

Small to Medium Parcels

Small to medium parcels up to 20 kg are delivered by My Hermes and are fully insured by the courier.   Dispatch time is usually 2-3 working days if the item is in stock and not a bespoke order the duration of which will be specified in the listing.

They are sent by standard service and will require a signature.  The prices quoted on the website are for UK only and some exclusions may apply  (Please see Couriers Website).  For international postage please contact us with your address details and we will give you a quote at info@davidwhitefireplaces.com.

Large Bulky or Fragile Items

​

Items over 20kg or too big to send with a parcel service.  For larger and more  bulky items we need your goods to arrive in perfect condition and as such use a fully insured and experienced man with a Van service for delivery. We have tried several couriers over the years and decided because of the fragile nature and weights of the items that this is the best way to ensure the item arrives intact.  The prices on the web site for this service only apply to UK mainland.

Delivery's are usually carried out in 7-14 days and are dependant on the couriers location, workload and routes at the time of order.  We use several couriers and will always endeavour to get the item to you as soon as possible.

We will deliver any large or Bulky item with a value of over £100.00 within a 40 mile radius of York free of charge so please use the collect in person option at checkout.

If you choose to use our national fitting service the delivery charge will be waived.

 

International Shipping

Delivery and shipment of any item on the website can also be arranged internationally.  Due to the difference in sizes, weight, packaging requirements and courier shipping rates we can not offer a standardised international price on the web site. Please feel free to contact us for a quote at info@davidwhitefireplaces.com.

Returns

 

Exchanges and Warranty Claims

For returns of faulty goods please contact us at info@davidwhitefireplaces.com, we will then send you a simple returns form and arrange to have the item collected at which point you can have an exchange item or a refund.

Returns of Antique Fireplaces or Accessories

 

 All Antique Items are sold as seen  on our website.  We try to list our items as honestly as possible so if you think we have miss-represented your purchase then naturally a refund will be issued upon return of the goods. These are antique items so expect age appropriate wear and tare. For returns of goods please contact us at info@davidwhitefireplaces.com, we will then send you a simple returns form and arrange to have the item collected at which point you can have an exchange item or a refund.  The buyer is responsible for shipping costs in both directions.  Returns to our shop in person is free of charge assuming the returns form has been completed and you have conformation from us that the return is acceptable.  All returns must be started within a 14 day period.  The sizes on our site are accurate within a couple of mm so if you need precise measurements please contact us before purchase.
